语料库语言学群言集》是一本学术访谈录，书中辑录了对语言学界十四位知名研究者的访谈。每个访谈均涉及十个具体问题：前七个问题是所有访谈所共通的，后三个问题则更贴近每位受访学者的研究经历。在共通性问题中，受访学者将就"(语料的)代表性"、直觉的作用、语料库语言学的学科地位等进行探讨；在个性化问题中，受访学者将详细探讨语料库研究中所涉及的材料、方法以及如何将语料库应用于语言的理论研究与应用研究中去。
范德 维亚纳目前于英国贝尔法斯特女王大学攻读博士学位，也是该校英语学院的一名助教。他的主要研究兴趣包括语料库语言学、英语语言、应用语言学及英语教学等；索尼娅 金吉尔于1994年获得伯明翰大学的应用语言学博士学位，目前担任约翰 本杰明出版公司的学术编辑，曾在文体学方面发表多篇著作；杰夫 巴恩布鲁克是伯明翰大学英语语言方向的高级讲师，其研究兴趣主要包括语料库语言学、词典学等。
